The short version
Your family's protocol is nobody's business but yours. The safe word you choose, the callback numbers you memorize, the freeze word you teach your kids — we don't receive that information. It stays in your browser for this session, on your device. When you close the tab, it's gone. (We may see anonymous usage statistics so we know the drill is working; those never include your answers.)
This page explains what that actually means.
What stays on your device, always
When you run the drill, you'll enter things like a safe word, callback numbers, a pickup rule, and a freeze word. We never receive any of it, log it, or copy it. It never leaves your device as part of the drill.
If you want the protocol card printed or saved, that happens between your browser and your printer. Nothing passes through us.
Anonymous usage (not your answers)
We look at overall numbers so we know whether the experience is working — for example, whether people are finishing the drill and using print or share. That helps us improve the product. It is not a record of you as a person.
Your safe word, freeze word, phone numbers, pickup rule, and the answers you pick in each scenario are never included in that.
If you refresh or step away
So you can refresh without starting over, your device may remember where you arein the drill. That "bookmark" lives only on your device. Your safe word, freeze word, and callback numbers are not saved that way on purpose. If you close the tab, this progress is cleared.
Share images
When you share your drill results, the image shows only a count — for example, "3 unprotected attack surfaces." It never contains your protocol answers or any identifying information.
If this changes
If we meaningfully change how data flows through the drill, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
